February 2010

Yay!  I'm finally up to date on my pics!  Now if I can just stay ahead, it will really be something!
I love my Daddy so much!
Everett watches Ethan so intently.  Oh we are in so much trouble when this one starts walking!!
Me and the boys got out after all that snow and met Marcie, Joshua and Matthew at the mall play area.  Everett had a ball toddling around.
Everett and Matthew showing each other their cool toys....or maybe they're just teething, I don't know!

There's no more beautiful a sight to a mom than her kid sleeping, is there?

Ethan got this cool hat at Gap for like $2.  It's really impractical, but Everett laughed so hard when Ethan put it on, I thought it was worth the buy just so I can hear that laugh!
Everett's cruising all over the place and his balance is getting better every day

Teething sucks!  There are 4 teeth coming in on the top at the same time
Roy got home kind of late on Ethan's birthday, so Everett missed him opening his gifts and having cake.

Ethan's preschool class had a birthday celebration for Ethan a week late, since school was out for snow on his real birthday.

Although Ethan requested no party and no fanfare for his birthday this year, he really seemed to enjoy the attention his classmates and teachers were giving him this day!

I have a picture of Ethan in Sam's bowl around this age, I just haven't downloaded it onto my new computer.  I do remember Ethan's butt fitting in the bowl much better than this little butterball though!
Everett figured out the Sit & Spin really quickly.  Probably all those endless hours of watching Ethan spin from the comfort of his high chair every morning.

Uncle Hank, Aunt Renee, Ella and Elaina came to visit us.  Ethan and Everett both love babies, so they were delighted to play with Elaina.
the Sit & Spin sees a lot of action, doesn't it?
Love you, Uncle Roy!
Must have been a rough morning for all of us!

The boys with Grandma Pomeroy outside of Great Grandma Weezy's house.  My grandmother is now on hospice and not doing well at all.  Understandably, she didn't want any pictures taken, so my mom was happy to oblige.  I'm so glad we spent some time with her, as she enjoyed watching the boys interact with one another.  It was definitely one of those learning moments for Ethan though, as he has been full of questions about death, and his relationship with God.  I swear sometimes he seems so grown up!

Ethan got promoted to a green stripe belt!  He's moving right up the ranks, and every time he gets some recognition, he enjoys Tae Kwon Do a little more.  If all he got out of this experience is that perseverence pays off, it was well worth it!

January 2010

Happy New Year everyone!!  I got this little pool a long time ago on a clearance rack, and over the Christmas season, I found the balls for a deal, and I thought, hey, I can make a ball pit for the boys.  They love it, and you can't keep them out of it!  Now if we can only teach Sam not to dunk his head in and steal the balls for a game of fetch!
Everett has slept with his bum in the air since 3 months of age
Grandma Pomeroy came to visit in January and exchange Christmas presents.
The Dodd boys came to visit (Julian, Jaden, and Jack) for a few hours. Jack and Everett really hit it off!  And of course, Ethan and Jaden always have a blast together!
Such an imaginative boy!  Ethan wasn't "Ethan" for about 48 hours...he was "Mr. Train Conductor", thank you very much!
Everett just watches in awe as Ethan runs around screaming "ALL ABOARD!"
One morning we got just a dusting of snow...enough to delay school a couple hours, but it was so beautiful coming down while the sun was shining!

Who knew you could make a snow angel in 1/10 of an inch of snow?
Everett was so cheerful this morning, I just kept snapping away... and since this is my virtual scrapbook(and since I'm 14 months behind in my traditional scrapbooking), just humor me for the next dozen or so pics.
Taking down the Christmas tree...always a depressing job

two little conductors
Aaahhh!  a moment of peace
Cousin Ella's 4th birthday party.  She's our little princess!Ethan pulled the string that released all the candy from the pinata.  Like the hands on the hips?  I wonder where he gets that?
SCORE!
Ethan loves babies!  He's giving some lovin's to cousin Elaina here.

On one of the rare semi-warm days in January, we took the boys out for some much-needed sunshine. It was Everett's first time in the Cozy Coupe, sandbox and wagon.  He enjoyed them all...can't wait for spring!
I love this picture of my boys!
Ethan recieving his yellow stripe belt from Master Yi.  This was a defining moment for Ethan...I think his sense of accomplishment made him feel like Tae Kwon Do wasn't so bad after all.  Whew!  It only took 4 months for him to come to that realization!

I had to get some individual shots of my big boy.  Ethan always seems to be in shots with Everett these days, so it was nice to focus the camera just on him for a few moments.

We took the boys to the Inflatable Palace (big moon bounce place) to jump and play before the big snow came.  It was just what the doctor ordered for Ethan!  Everett enjoyed it too, and really seemed to like the slide.
The second big snow of the season.  We got about 12 inches total!
Everett is still not very impressed with the snow......he'd much prefer to stay inside and watch Ethan and Roy out the window while eating puffs!
Roy's such a hard worker!  Clearing snow off the cars while carrying Everett around in the backpack.  Gotta love him!
