Happy Birthday Ethan!

Ethan went to pick up balloons with Daddy on Sunday morning. We decided to do a little celebration on Sunday so that Grandma Barnes and Grandpa Summers could wish Ethan their best. We were happy that the Suess family made it too!!

Ethan's birthday cake made with love by Mommy.
Ethan enjoyed blowing out the candle so much, that he demanded to do it "again" and "again".
Yummy! Elmo tastes good!

A fun moment with Clare, Sean and Patrick Suess.

Watching and waiting for Ethan's birthday card to be shown on t.v. on Monday morning.

I'm this many!

....taking a much needed break from television to play some music. What a captive audience Ethan has!

Such a lovable dog... this is the new version of Sam's career in pet therapy!

Ethan & I watched PBS kids all morning hoping to see his birthday card on the air. Finally at about 11:45 AM they showed it! His pediatrician would not be happy to hear that we watched 3 consecutive hours of television! Oh well...his reaction made it worth every minute!

His card was also posted on the PBS Kids website! TOO COOL!!! We will be making this a birthday tradition! You can enter your child's birthday wishes at http://www.sproutonline.com.

Aunt Renee, Uncle Hank and Ella got Ethan a miniature grand piano for his birthday. SOOOOO
COOL!!!! Mommy loves it as much as Ethan does!!

Having dinner with Ella.

A fun day with Joshua

Ethan & I got to babysit Joshua on Friday while his Mommy and Daddy went to a Valentine party. We had a blast blowing bubbles out in the yard.

I decided to try some different things to blow bubbles with...the flyswatter by far had the best outcome. As Josh so eloquently put it, it was "raining bubbles"!

The boys were so sad when it got dark and we had to come inside...so out came the paints. Joshua was a little reluctant at first, but before long, he really got into it!

Getting all the bubble solution and paint off.

What a day!!!

Puddle it up

It rained one evening this past weekend, and Ethan went to bed excited that he'd be able to play in some puddles the next morning. Everything had dried up, but Roy and I were happy to provide him with some homemade puddles to jump in!

3 outfits later, Ethan had finally gotten his fill of playing in the puddle! Aren't we supposed to have snow in the winter?
