July 2010

Happy 4th of July!  Our community had a celebration, complete with petting zoo, snow cones, a juggler and a moon bounce.  Everett couldn't get enough of this baby cow!

...and Ethan couldn't get enough of the snowcones!

my boys!

can't keep these kids out of the water!

Wonder where he gets his sense of humor?  Hmmm....Dad maybe?

We went to Kings Dominion a few times with the James's.  This outfit was definitely ready to retire.  Holy cow this kid is HUGE!!

Everett screamed incessantly on these rides until Lauren went on them with him.

Ethan cracked up every time they hit someone in the bumper cars.

A friend convinced me to take a picture of the kids' shoes all lined up.  Something that is just an everyday thing now, will certainly be something I look back on and say "awww...look how little their feet used to be!"

Beach trip-June, July 2010

The end of June we headed back to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for a week at a beach house with our friends the Millers.  We stopped at the GraveDigger Monster Truck garage.

The big boys decided to take a ride in a monster truck while Laurie and I and the babies stayed behind.

We had to walk down to the shore the first night we were there. The water was so warm.

The best part was when the crabs came out.

Ethan's fast!  He actually caught a couple!

digging a hole to China..

Playing Legos at the beach house

We decided to rent kayaks.  Ethan enjoyed it...Everett wasn't so sure at first, but by the second day of having them, he really seemed to enjoy it.

Ethan and Roy crabbing.

Everett enjoyed kayaking while Ethan and Roy did some crabbing.

Ethan saved a dragonfly that was drowning. Roy and I swear he's going to be an entamologist when he grows up. He loves bugs!

This picture was taken just minutes before I fell off the dock trying to retrieve the crabbing net.  A stranger had to help Roy hoist my big butt back up to the dock...how embarrassing!

We went to Jurassic Putt our last full day at the beach.

Everett was a natural at putt putt!

We had such a wonderful time...we'll be back soon, for sure!
