Easter 2010

The night before Easter we dyed eggs.
Everett especially liked playing with his Easter basket grass.
That is one hungry Easter Bunny.  Look at all those carrots!
Ethan had a million eggs to find Easter morning.
The Easter Bunny left one carrot for Sam.
we were smart this year...we hid the real eggs and left Sam inside.  Last year he ate about half a dozen eggs.
Everett kinda looks like an Easter egg himself!
Happy Easter!

A day at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens

The day before Easter a neighbor brought over a baby bunny that he found in his yard for Roy to look at and make sure it was okay.  It was, and much to Ethan's dismay we released it in a wooded area of the neighborhood.
Later that day we went to Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden with Zachary and Dana Gormley for an Easter celebration. It was GORGEOUS with all the tulips and daffodils, hyacinths and pansies in bloom!
This was a cool display of 4,000 pinwheels. Each one represented a child serviced by the Child Abuse Prevention Coalition in Richmond in 2009. It was very impressive watching the wind blow the sea of silver and blue!
I'm ready for Easter!
Can't keep shoes on this little tyke!
Ethan loved petting the bunnies!
What a beautiful place!

March went out like a lamb

Catching some rays

Roy ran the Monument Avenue 10K last Saturday.  It was pretty, but chilly!  He did very well, finishing in just under 1 hour...especially considering he's been working so hard lately he really had no time to train for it.  This picture was taken at mile 5.5, and he was still smiling.  I would have been grimicing in pain by this point in the race.

This race is so much fun, and they have a contest for people who dress up.  Could you imagine running 6.2 miles wearing one of these get-ups?  Hey, is that Tiger Woods in disguise?
Roy thought this was a snowcone, but it's actually the tornado from The Wizard of Oz!  Too funny!

Here are the boys before church on Palm Sunday. I was lucky to find matching springtime outfits that matches their hair.  Orange hair just doesn't look so good with cotton-candy aquamarine!

HA HA!
Come back Sam!
Ethan getting his blue stripe belt.  He's moving right up the ranks!!
