September 2008

In September, Roy's mom came down to watch Ethan while Roy, his brother and I went to the Nascar race. She didn't even hesitate the minute she got to our house to take off her shoes and socks and splash in puddles with Ethan!

Roy and Hank at the race

Ethan posing with the Tahoe for the last time. We bought this car the day we found out we were pregnant with Ethan, so it was a sad goodbye when Roy decided to buy a new Avalanche...

....but we thought it was fitting since we had just found out that we're expecting baby #2! New baby, new car....I guess it will be a tradition now.

We took Ethan miniature golfing for the first time, and he LOVED it! Here I am trying to show him how to hit the ball. But he learned his own method worked pretty well too... just walk it to the hole, set it down about 2 inches away, and hit it in! He got several hole in ones!

We took one last trip to the children's museum before our membership ran out.

you just can't keep and Aquarius away from water, no matter how hard you try!

Roy finally got to go to his NASCAR race experience. This was a Christmas gift from Ethan and me, and he was just getting to go to the Richmond Raceway in August to drive 30 laps.

Ethan wanted to ride along with Roy!
Our favorite driver is Jimmie Johnson, who drives the Lowe's car....so wouldn't you know Roy would get the Home Depot car!

The Suess family came to watch Roy drive. Ethan was so happy to have his friends there...he was getting very impatient waiting for Daddy to finish!
Roy loved it, and wants to drive again at some other tracks one day!

Also in August, we met Jessica & Jaden Dodd at Kings Dominion.
Ethan had never ridden on bumper cars before, but Jaden was a great driver! Every time they hit another car, Ethan would laugh uncontrollably!

Ethan didn't mind letting Jaden be in the driver's seat, even in the Mystery Machine!

We took Ethan fishing for the first time at Todd James's parents house. Ethan didn't quite get the jist of it, but with time, I think he'll enjoy it as much as his Mommy and Daddy do.

Laurie, Jerry & Nathan Miller came to visit us and we went to the Richmond zoo.

July 2008

Lots of fun things happened in July:
Ethan's cousin Ella and Uncle Hank came to visit...

...we went to Kings Dominion with Holly, Emily, Lauren, Megan and Toby James...

...Ethan got to meet his hero, Diego!!!....

...writing our names in the wet cement at the base of our new patio.

...and went to Ethan's Great Grandmother's for a visit with her, Grandma Pomeroy, Aunt Jen, and cousins Joey and Jaclyn.
